    Abstract - In this paper, proposed an efficient method of converting speech codec formats between G.723.1 and G.729А. The proposed method is composed of four steps: LSP conversion, pitch conversion, adaptive codebook search and fixed codebook search. Subjective results shown that the proposed method has shorter delay than classical tandem method.
