  Simulation makes any system possible to study and experiment with the complex internal interactions of a given system, whether it be a firm, an industry, an economy or some subsystem of one of these. One of the most powerful techniques of simulation is a Monte-Carlo method. This report introduces the concept of Monte-Carlo method by defining the terms and describing a simple example (the determination or estimation of irregular area using a Monte-Carlo simulation).
