Abstract—We propose two novel energy-aware routing algorithms for wireless ad hoc networks, called reliable minimum energy cost routing (RMECR) and reliable minimum energy routing (RMER). RMECR addresses three important requirements of ad hoc networks: energy-efficiency, reliability, and prolonging network lifetime.
