它是以概率统计理论为基础，依据大数定律（样本均值代替总体均值），利用电子计算机数字模拟技术，通过不断产生随机序列来模拟事件的过程，来解决一些很难直接用数学运算求解或其他方法不能解决的复杂问题的一种近似算法，它既可模拟随机事件，也可模拟确定性事件。(It is based on the theory of probability and statistics, based on the law of large numbers (the mean of sample instead of the average), and using the digital simulation technology of electronic computer to simulate the process of events by constantly generating random sequences to solve some complicated problems which are difficult to be solved directly by mathematical calculation or by other methods. Like algorithm, it can simulate both random events and deterministic events.)
