当用动力学原理来描述航天器运行轨道时,其轨道运动的微分方程异复杂。航天器轨道的确定需要确定需要求解二阶微分方程组,但是在实际情况中精确的出其严格解是不可能的。在卫星精密定轨中通采用数值分析的方法来求其满足一定精度的离散解。目前较为用的数值积分算法有单步法的龙格库塔(Runge-Kutta)法;多步法的阿当姆斯-考威尔(Adams-Cowell)方法和KSG(Krogh-Shampine-Gardon)方法等。
