The aim of this short workshop is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the JPEG encoding/decoding process using test data and test images. As explained in the lectures the major elements of the JPEG encoding process are the DCT, the non-uniform Quantisation matrix and variable run-length encoding.
Building an emulator of the JPEG encoding and decoding algorithm may appear a daunting task, but Matlab is well suited to such coding.

Test3Dmodels2
This file contains a set of 3D models with the following characteristics:
■p: nx3 array of 3D points
■t: ntx3 array of triangles id. First points flagged as 1.
■tnorm: ntx3 arrays normals of triangles with outward orientation.
You can use this package to test your algorithms.
Models can be dowloaded here.
All models were created with the new MyRobustCrust.
In the new version all triangles have the same orientation, this allows for nice graphics rendering.
